Don’t lie to others, because it will become a habit. It will deteriorate and get worse and worse, a slippery slope and eventually you will get caught like a Fly in a Spider’s web.
“Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we seek to deceive.”
More fundamentally, don’t lie to yourself.
If you are honest with yourself, you will be honest with others.
If you tell yourself the Truth, the brutally honest truth, you can correct things in your life, whether at work or with your health or finances or relationships.
Look in the mirror.
Look right into your own eyes. Look right into your own eyes, stare into your soul unflinchingly.
Do you like what you see? Or are there voids?
If there are empty spots, black holes, then look right into them. Acknowledge them.
DO NOT look away.
What is not right? Be honest, with you.
Now you can work on correcting things.
Because you have stopped lying to yourself.
